Expert IBCLC Serving Florida - Pasco, Hillsborough, Hernando, and Polk County.

I provide expert IBCLC lactation consultations for both new and experienced parents, both during pregnancy and after birth.
I offer personalized guidance for breastfeeding support, newborn feeding challenges, and targeted lactation concerns, helping families thrive with confidence.
Services include an initial consultation and follow-up sessions, as needed. Sessions typically last 60-90 minutes.
Serving Tampa, MacDill Air Force Base, Wesley Chapel, Lutz, Odessa, Land O'Lakes, Zephyrhills, Riverview, and more.
As an IBCLC with a NICU nursing background, I specialize in supporting medically fragile infants and families navigating complex feeding needs. From preemies and multiples to babies with feeding tubes, Down syndrome, or craniofacial differences, I combine advanced lactation expertise with real NICU experience to create safe, individualized feeding plans. If you baby needs specialized care, you're in the right place.

Not all lactation support providers have the same training or certification. Here’s a breakdown:
1. International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) The most widely recognized professional credential for lactation consultants. Requires rigorous education, clinical experience, and passing an internationally standardized exam. IBCLCs are trained to handle complex breastfeeding situations, medically fragile infants, NICU transitions, and provide evidence-based guidance for all feeding methods.
2. Certified Lactation Counselor (CLC) Provides foundational lactation education and counseling skills. Training is shorter than IBCLC and focuses on supporting healthy mothers and babies with typical breastfeeding challenges.
3. La Leche League Leader (LLL Leader) Volunteers trained to provide peer support and education to breastfeeding families. Focuses on guidance, encouragement, and community support rather than medical or clinical intervention.
4. Other titles (e.g., Peer Counselor, Lactation Educator, etc.) Training and scope vary widely. Some offer great support for common questions, but may not be qualified for complex or medically sensitive situations.
Why it matters: Choosing a credentialed professional—especially an IBCLC (like myself)—ensures you are getting expert, evidence-based support, particularly for challenging feeding situations, NICU babies, or medically complex conditions.

I am committed to making lactation consultation and breastfeeding support accessible to as many families as possible.
